Fare FAQ
- How much is a single GO bus ride from Whitby GO Bus to Ajax GO Bus?
- Rail Six couldn’t load the live fare right now. Try again in a minute, or check the GO Transit website for the official price.
- Is a day pass cheaper than two singles?
- No. The day pass matches the price of two paper single rides on the same corridor, and two Presto single rides cost less than that. A day pass only pays off from the third trip of the day onward.

For youth and post-secondary students the lower fare starts at trip 31. Seniors pay one discounted rate all month.
- Do children ride free?
- Yes. Children 12 and under travel free with a paying adult. The Child category fares are for unaccompanied children.
- How is the Whitby GO Bus to Ajax GO Bus fare calculated?

- Do I need to tap off at Ajax GO Bus?
- With Presto, tap on at Whitby GO Bus and off at Ajax GO Bus. Missing the tap off charges you the maximum fare for that trip. You can skip the tap off when this train trip is set as the default trip on your card. Paper tickets and e-tickets need no taps.
- Is the fare the same from Ajax GO Bus back to Whitby GO Bus?
- Yes. GO fares are symmetric, so the return leg costs the same as the outbound one. The live Ajax GO Bus to Whitby GO Bus page shows the same amounts.
