Larger terminals — Union, Yorkdale, Scarborough Centre — serve multiple routes at once, so the bay number matters more than at a single-route stop. - Bays are where GO buses load, at bus terminals. Platforms are where GO trains load, at rail stations. Some terminals — like Union — have both. Rail Six always shows the right label for the mode you’re looking at.
- How early do bay assignments appear?
- Bus bay numbers typically populate 5 to 10 minutes before departure — later than rail platforms, which are usually announced 10 to 20 minutes ahead at Union. Until then, the board shows the departure without a bay.
