About the Lakeshore West line

The Lakeshore West line runs between Union Station in downtown Toronto and the west end of the GO network, serving commuters along the lake from Exhibition through Mississauga, Oakville, and Burlington to Hamilton and — on select trips — St. Catharines and Niagara Falls. It is one of the two GO rail corridors with all-day, two-way service every day of the week. Most trains terminate at Aldershot or West Harbour; weekend and seasonal service continues to Niagara Falls. The full Union-to-West-Harbour run stops at twelve stations; the Niagara extension adds three more. Lakeshore West connects to the TTC subway at Union, GO bus at most intermediate stations, and Hamilton Street Railway at West Harbour. When does the Lakeshore West line run?

Lakeshore West runs all day, seven days a week. Service is more frequent during weekday peak hours, with additional express trains that skip selected stops to shorten the Union-to-Aldershot trip. Off-peak and weekend service is less frequent but runs continuously from early morning until after midnight. Trains to and from Niagara Falls run on a limited schedule — typically weekends and during the summer season.
